Budtender Video Guide

You must follow the Arkansas Department of Health requirements to get a card.
The requirements are as follows:

  • Be at least 18 years of age or be a minor with parental consent
  • Be diagnosed with a qualifying medical condition.
  • Have the official written certification from a physician.
  • Be an Arkansas resident with proof of residency (AR Driver’s License or AR State ID card).
  • State law prohibits Arkansas National Guard and United States Military members from obtaining a registry ID card.
  • Pay the Arkansas Department of Health a nonrefundable $50 application fee.

If you have one of the following conditions, you may qualify to receive an Arkansas Medical Marijuana Card:

  • Cancer
  • Glaucoma
  • Positive status for human immunodeficiency virus/ acquired immune deficiency syndrome
  • Hepatitis C
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis
  • Tourette’s syndrome
  • Crohn’s disease
  • Ulcerative colitis
  • Post-traumatic stress disorder
  • Severe arthritis
  • Cachexia or wasting syndrome
  • Alzheimer’s disease
  • Peripheral neuropathy
  • Intractable pain which is pain that has not responded to ordinary medications, treatment or urgical measures for more than six (6) months
  • Severe nausea
  • Seizures including without limitation those characteristic of epilepsy
  • Severe and persistent muscle spasms including without limitation those characteristic of multiple sclerosis

To obtain an MMJ Card in the state of Arkansas, written consent from a physician is required. A physician must fill out a certificate certifying a qualifying medical condition.
To obtain a written consent:

1. Schedule an appointment to meet with your physician or, if you do not have one, contact one of our recommended physicians below:

‍2. The physician will issue a written certificate if you have a qualifying condition.

This written certificate must be submitted online or mailed to the Arkansas Department of Health within 30 days of the physician’s signature. Please note: All physician fees are in addition to the $50 state application fee.

The next step is to complete and submit an application to the Arkansas Department of Health.

You can apply for your Medical Marijuana Card by submitting an application online (LINK) and registering online as a new patient. (LINK).  After you have submitted your application online, you will be directed to pay a $50 non-refundable payment via credit card.

Have the following information ready to make the process as smooth and easy as possible!

  • Your SSN
  • Your state ID (you will need to take a picture and upload it)
  • Your physician certification (you will need to take a picture and upload it)
  • Your physician’s DDO #, which will be listed on the certification.

Applications can also be submitted by mail.

Send the completed patient application form along with:

  • A completed Physician Written Certification form;
  • A copy of the front of your Arkansas Driver’s License or DMV-issued Arkansas state ID; and
  • A $50 non-refundable check or money order made payable to:

Once you have submitted your application and paid the $50 fee to the state, it can take 2 to 14 days for your application to be approved and your card to be issued.

If you applied online, you can check the status of your application through the account you created when you registered. When the tag next to your application says “ISSUED,” your card is ready.

You should receive a hard copy of your card in the mail; however, if you want to visit our dispensary before receiving your physical card, you can print a copy or show us the digital copy on your phone.

Unfortunately, a digital copy will not be issued if you apply through the mail. Please wait until you receive your physical card in the mail to come in and shop.

Your MMJ card is valid for one year. To ensure your card does not lapse between expiration and renewal, you must renew it before it expires.  You can no longer renew a card that has been expired for more than 60 days.

To renew your MMJ Card in Arkansas, you will follow the same process as you did when you applied for a New Patient Card.

  • Log onto your Arkansas MMJ Patient Portal (Link) and submit your renewal application and $50 non-refundable payment.
  • Once you have submitted your renewal application and paid the $50 fee to the state, it can take 2 to 14 days for your application to be approved and your card to be issued.

Once you have your issued MMJ card, you can enter our dispensary. You can come through Monday – Saturday between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. and Sunday between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. to meet with one of our knowledgeable budtenders.

Our budtenders are extremely knowledgeable and ready to help you identify the cannabis product that is right for you. We have answers if you have questions about strains, potency, dosage, products, etc..

If you don’t want to meet with a budtender, you can check out our menu online and place an order for pick-up instead.

To check your allotment:

  • Log in to the portal: https://mmj.adh.arkansas.gov/
  • Click the three lines in the top right corner of the page.
  • Select the green ‘limit meter’ icon to view your current allotment and review the previous allotment history.

Here’s how to access the portal and use the tracker:

    • Navigate to the green battery icon in the upper right corner.

  • Click on the green battery icon to see a pop-up of your basic allotment balance.

Arkansas Medical Cannabis Purchase Limits

The state of Arkansas allows licensed medical cannabis cardholders to purchase up to 2.5 ounces (70.874 grams to be exact) every 14 days.  This operates on a rolling basis, with your allotment updating nightly at midnight.
